Working quickly and instinctively, drawing with charcoal enables me to connect to the essence of a moment, sculpting with light and shadow. It could be a line, a shape, a flicker of light…or it could connect with something the physical eye cannot see. Something hidden in plain sight. An inner landscape or alternative outer world.
